Challenge

United Way of Greenville County aimed to develop a strategic investment framework that centered economic mobility and racial equity while simultaneously reimagining its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. The organization sought to evaluate its DEI team’s structure, identify clear work buckets, and create an actionable work plan to align its efforts with equity goals and long-term community impact.

Solution

Indigo Innovation Group partnered with United Way of Greenville County to provide tailored support for their strategic and DEI efforts. Key elements of the collaboration included:

  • Developing a strategic investment framework to align organizational priorities with economic mobility and equity.

  • Conducting an in-depth gap analysis of the DEI team, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

  • Guiding the development of the DEI Work Plan by establishing clear work buckets: Thinking/Learning, Skills, and Doing.

  • Providing tools and resources to ensure cultural sensitivity and actionable outcomes.

Indigo’s collaborative approach emphasized clarity, alignment, and organizational readiness for systemic change.
